TIANB is part of the ACTP Management Committee who's mission is to grow the tourism industry in Atlantic Canada, which today represents $3.24 billion annually for the region's economy and employs over 110,000 people.
Atlantic Canada Tourism Partnership (ACTP) brings together ACOA, the four provincial Atlantic governments and the four Atlantic Tourism Industry Associations.
The mission of the partnership is to grow the Atlantic tourism industry. ACTP incorporates several programs to increase visitors from the US and overseas. They created the Canada East Coast brand which markets to European travelers. And in Japan they market "Where Canada begins". ACTP generated $7.05 in overseas tourist spending for every dollar invested.
ACTP is a powerful example of the benefits of government working with the tourism industry in pursuit of shared goals. The partnership generated $238.3 million in tourism revenue for Atlantic Canada during its 2003 - 2006 Agreement.
At TIANB we are proud to be a part of this Endeavour; we believe that by working together with governments and the other Atlantic provinces, we can successfully promote and market New Brunswick and Atlantic Canada to ensure our long term strength and competitiveness in tourism, the world's fastest growing industry.
