As part of the Trainer Training program, you will learn:

Tourism Trainer
The emerit Tourism Trainer program will build on your existing skills so you can create the most effective methods for learning and learning retention. Become recognized nationally as an exemplary Tourism Trainer with the Tourism Certified Supervisor (TCS) credential. The program is based on National Occupational Standards. The Standards are free to download. The price for a paper-based copy is $40.
Workplace Trainer
The emerit Workplace Trainer program will help you become skilled at adapting to new situations, communicating clearly, motivating employees and adjusting their training methods to suit different learning styles. Train-the-Trainer Participant's Manual
The Train-the-Trainer Participant's Manual will help you discover how to determine training needs, plan training, and deliver it in an effective way. You will learn how to entice people into learning and make the training results last. The Train-the-Trainer Participant's Manual is used for training individuals in both one-on-one and group situations. The material is presented so that it can be adapted to a variety of needs.
Train-the-Trainer Leader's Guide
This guide is designed to assist facilitators with training other supervisors and managers responsible for training staff in the tourism and hospitality industry. This guide is available in English only.
Train-the-Trainer Self-Study Guide
The self-study way of learning is adapted by trainers at all levels within tourism organizations. The Train-the-Trainer Self-Study Guide is designed to empower industry supervisors and managers with the knowledge and skills to provide on-the-job training to their employees. It is especially geared to employers who want to assist their employees in successfully completing the knowledge and performance components of the occupational certification.
The Self-Study Guide has an accompanying Video "Food for Thought". The best way to use the video is to view it in the segments as outlined in the Self Study guide.
This guide combines the Occupational Standards for the Trainer, training information and exercises for you to practice your new skills.
Train-the-Workplace Trainer Participant's Manual
This guide assists the facilitators in training supervisors who are responsible for training staff in the tourism and hospitality industry. It provides a detailed outline on how to run a workshop. This Participant's Manual is a complementary manual to the Train-the-Trainer Leader's Guide. It is designed to provide practical insights, knowledge and techniques to make on-the-job training enjoyable both to the trainer and the trainees. More Info
Participants in the Train-the-Workplace Trainer workshop receive a participant's workbook, designed as a comprehensive trainer's guide and workbook. Supplemental worksheets are also included which participants can copy and use in their own training.
