President's Message

It is with great pride that I accept the challenge of President of TIANB - the Voice of the Tourism Industry of New Brunswick.

I have grown up in the tourism industry in our family business and I know the industry to be challenging, exciting and rewarding all at the same time. We are an industry that is not exempt for all the challenges facing every business today - human resource, financial, weather, infrastructure, environmental and government changes and so on. What makes us different and sets us apart is our PASSION and our PLACE in this world. We have the "people" and the "products" and that is what our success is attributed to. You can't have one without the other and be successful.

As I begin my tenure as your President I will focus on keeping TIANB relevant to your business needs. Our Mandate is Advocacy and Lobbying on YOUR behalf and Training for YOUR needs. I encourage you to get engaged with your sector and regional representatives. Provide them with your input and expect actions and results from them.

 I am excited about the enthusiasm and skills of the Board members around the table. They want to participate and bring positive solutions to the industry challenges. We have committed and informed staff that are only a phone call away. Use them for your business as the valued resource they are. Their contacts and desire to help you grow your business is unending.

As our new year has started with warm weather and early guests, join me in "expecting great things" from our 2012/2013 Tourism Industry and from TIANB.
