About Tourism in New Brunswick
Building Prosperity Through Tourism

New Brunswick is recognized for its breathtaking coastlines, vibrant communities, rich Acadian and Indigenous cultures, and world-class outdoor experiences. Welcoming visitors from across Canada and around the world, the province offers authentic, year-round experiences that contribute to its growing reputation as one of Atlantic Canada's premier travel destinations.
Tourism is one of New Brunswick's most important economic sectors, generating $2.7 billion in annual economic activity and supporting more than 30,000 jobs across the province, equivalent to 1 in every 16 jobs. From vibrant cities and coastal communities to rural destinations, the visitor economy plays a vital role in supporting local businesses, creating employment, and strengthening communities.
The Government of New Brunswick's Tourism Strategy sets an ambitious goal of growing the industry's annual economic impact to $3.7 billion by 2031, representing a 37% increase over current levels. Recent indicators demonstrate this momentum, with provincial attractions welcoming more than 670,000 visitors through August 2025 (+20% year over year), provincial parks surpassing one million visits (+11%), and tourism revenues reaching $1.8 billion by the end of August (+7%).
As the voice of New Brunswick's tourism industry, the Tourism Industry Association of New Brunswick (TIANB) represents businesses and organizations from every corner of the province, advocating for policies that strengthen the visitor economy, support workforce development, foster sustainable growth, and ensure tourism remains a key driver of New Brunswick's prosperity.
